Transfer Portal Addition
Though the transfer portal officially closed on January 16, teams are still allowed to recruit and sign players who remain in the portal. Players are just not allowed to enter past the January 16 deadline.
Rich Rodriguez and WVU football were one of those programs that were not finished adding players to their roster. They bolstered their defense by adding defensive back Kameron Reddic from Stephen F. Austin.
The Texas native had an impressive campaign for the Lumberjacks in 2025. Along with tallying 44 tackles, he became a force in the defensive backfield with 4 pass deflections and 1 interception.
The 6-foot, 185-pounder started the last 13 games of the season for SFA in 2025 and recorded a total of 541 snaps. His overall defensive grade was 68.1 according to Pro Football Focus.
He is expected to have two years of eligibility remaining.

WVU Basketball Splits Road Trip
Ross Hodge and his WVU men’s basketball team headed to the desert of Arizona for a two-game road trip last week. They started the trip by defeating Arizona State 75-63. This was the Mountaineers’ first win of the season away from their home court.
Forward Treysen Eaglestaff led the Mountaineers with 23 points and was 6-9 shooting from three-point range. It was his second consecutive game scoring over 20 points. The transfer from North Dakota also led WVU in rebounding with seven.
The second game of the road trip did not go as well for WVU. They fell to the nation’s top team, the Arizona Wildcats, by a score of 88-53. Tommy Lloyd’s undefeated team was just too much for the Mountaineers. Brayden Burries poured in 22 points for the Wildcats. The talented freshman also dished out seven assists for Arizona.
Chance Moore came off the bench to lead the Mountaineers with 12 points. WVU now sits at 13-7 overall and 4-3 in Big 12 Conference play.
The WVU men return to the Hope Coliseum in Morgantown to host the Kansas State Wildcats on Tuesday night. The game will tip at 8:30pm Eastern/7:30pm Central and will air on FS1. They follow that up with a home game against Baylor on Saturday, January 31, at 4:00pm Eastern/3:00pm Central.
